Through a first training module (Advanced topics of economic and business management) the students are offered specialised training in the development of planning, execution, and control of business strategy, as well as the utilisation of diverse methodological tools that permit a deeper integral view of a company aware of the competitive framework in which it operates.

The second training module (Company creation) offers a set of methodological tools that allow one to face a variety of decision-making situations that appear in the processes of conception and creation of a company. Aside from management tools, future entrepreneurs must possess basic training in various areas - such as income tax regulation, law, or finance - that will allow them to interpret those situations in need of expert advice, to make informed choices regarding said experts and to assess the latter's professional opinions.

The third module (Innovation, technology, and quality management) offers training in the three elements that should - in cross-curricular terms - impermeate both the creation and the management of companies. These elements are innovation, technology, and quality. Yet innovation is much more than just technological innovation. In June 2006
the European Commission document regarding innovation policy "RICARDIS: Reporting Intellectual Capital to Augment Research, Development and Innovation in SMEs" establishes that innovation can also be organisational innovation (for instance, human resource management and administration of the different types of capacities of a business). Furthermore, the 3rd edition of the Olso Manual (OECD, 2005) includes the concepts of organisational innovation and marketing innovation. All of these dimensions of innovation are integrated in the Master's educational objectives.

The fourth module (Specialisation and Master's dissertation) is an implementation module. It is composed of internships in companies or in support organisations of investigation and innovation (centres of innovation, technology centres, industrial parks, etc.) and a Master's dissertation. It will give the students the opportunity to apply and develop the skills acquired in the previous modules and the general competences associated with the degree.
